Unfortunately no data
is available for this very interesting projectile. A film negative only is in
possession of the Washington Navy Yard. It appears to be a 7-inch projectile.
Undoubtedly it was an experimental armor puncher, the ratchets on the ogive to give it a
bite on the armor and then exploding after penetration. Only specimen noted.
